Save Bodog.com is a non-profit sector of CAPT (The Coalition Against Patent Trolls).
Patent trolls are companies or individuals who buy up patents at low prices then aggressively assert them purely for financial gain.
Bodog Entertainment is just one of many high profile companies (such as Google and ebay) who have recently been targeted by these pirates.
On August 27th, 2007 the Bodog.com URL was ripped from Bodog Entertainment and handed over to patent trolls on a legal technicality.
1st Technology LLC won the URL after asserting that Bodog's software violated one of their patents. In place of a $48 million dollar settlement, the judge awarded these trolls the bodog.com URL.
Now these money hungry bottom feeders are holding the URL for ransom, offering to sell it back to Bodog for millions of dollars.
When Bodog.com is taken from the patent trolls and returned to its rightful owner: Bodog Entertainment.

Interesting thing… With Wikipedia.org, the policies for inclusion are widely varying…
I know of certain artists (music, paint, photography) who have been exorcised from the Wiki because they weren’t “famous enough.”
But, Back to patent trolls… Glad the definition is in Wikipedia
